It’s with pride and pleasure that the Allamuchy Township Fire Department announces the replacement of our cascade system – a system used to refill firefighters air bottles. The previous unit has been outdated for many years, and we are currently working on finding a new home for its remaining life span. Our new Bauer unit has all up-to-date safety features, a warranty program, and will be able to fill multiple bottles in one session - something the old system was unable to fulfill. Funds from our 2017 Cash for Crash program paid for more than half the costs of the unit, and part of our township budget helped offset the remaining balance. If anyone is interested in seeing our new cascade system, feel free to stop by the fire house any Tuesday night for a demonstration.
As always, members of the fire department would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
