Juniors continuing to train hard into the fall months

On September 28th, Allamuchy Firefighters conducted a junior training session to help juniors understand hydrants and hose lines. One of the most valued asset on an active fire ground is having a positive water source, and considering most of Allamuchy has hydrants, it is vital for our youngest recruits to understand how to use them.

Juniors reviewed the different types of hoses to use with hydrants, how to connect them, and how to communicate back to the apparatus that they are ready to send water. Juniors also drilled on setting up an ‘attack’ line by connecting 1 3/4” hose lines and a nozzle, and knocking over a cone.
